wow. I'm amazed at the response on this thread. Will definitely ask her to try the wide bore follow by the foam tips then spitfits!

Thanks all!
YUP. A vast majority agree that wide bore are the way to go for these (whether stock or tenmark/kz turbo) as they don't asphyxiate the sound. Take note : most reviewers are male, and small widebores dont have the same effect as medium size since they are so physically different and not proportional.

I still don't understand how my girlfriend's ears are formed as most tips don't work. Ended up offering Headphones. Tiny, but many S sized tips just fall out and somehow the stock KZ tips that are longer than most seem to work out - too bad they are medium bore.

Trial and error. But no dissapointment with the IT01 to be worried about. Tip searching is an added bonus imo.

I found the foam tips to be the absolute best. In my opinion the silicon tips can't compare at all
Like above said - everyone ears are different. I think opposite - foams are pretty much absolute worst with IT01 and they can`t compare at all with with wide bore silicones.

+1 on the wide bore silicone tips.

Hello everyone, what eartips are suitable to use on it01 for increasing treble and imaging ?
Thanks in advance

I'm using JVC Spiral Dots with my IT01s right now and the sound is very nice. The Symbio wide bores sound very similar, with a bit more isolation.

Just wanted to make a note here for anyone with small ears finding the it01 body pressing uncomfortably against their ears. If you reverse the left and right mmcx connectors on the earphones and wear the cable over ear like normal, the earphones probably won't touch your ears anymore. I did this and they're comfortable for me now, the only downside is that they extend further out from your ears.

On another note, I find that like many dynamic drivers these make loud crinkly sounds due to the pressure when I insert them with a proper seal. Has anyone found tips that don't have this problem and still preserve bass? Going to try the Spinfit CP100-SS with an almost-seal I can get without the crinkle. CP100-S has better bass for me but the crinkle is impossible to avoid.

Not quite sure what you mean, do you mean you are swapping the left and right IEM, LHS in right ear and RHS in left ear?

Yeah, and swap the mmcx connector sides so the left sound comes out of the right iem in your left ear, and the right sound comes out of the left iem in your right ear.

Just got mine today! Can't say I put much more than an hour through them, but when I got home I compared them to my old Sennheiser IE7s which were THE IEMs I lusted for 8 years ago... And ended-up barely ever listening: I ditched IEMs shortly after as my ears do not like them and I never seem to be able to find any kind of tips that fit me.

PC w/ Foobar -> (Wintersun's Son of Winter and Stars) -> Schiit Jotunheim with DAC -> IE7s or IT01s

Weirdly-enough given the at-the-time price of the IE7s, the IT01s definitely hold their own.
I hear the bass a little clearer, though the treble loses out. There is definitely a LOT more bass on the IT01s. The IE7s are more balanced and mayebe, just maybe a little clearer.
Switching to Fleetwood Mac's Rhiannon, the IE7s are definitely more analytical and neutral overall, but not any-less enjoyable. After a long bout with the IE7s on this song I switched back thinking I'd get disappointed, but not at all.
Randomizer than took me to Necrophagist's Epitaph... That's a fast and busy track but the IT01s were awesome. I could hear the riffs just right against the bass, and there was great separation of the vocals vs. the musical background. Vs. the IE7s I'd say I can hear the lower frequencies a little clearer here too, where even in the busier sections, the bass is more easibly discernible. On this track I actually prefer the IT01s.

I got these mostly, if not only, for flights, and so far I'm really happy. I even found tips which are a-ok for me, for once...
