Fun fact: Another graphene coated IEM (circa 2018) I modded following @james444 ‘s procedure. Obviously not as good as 2020 driver tech with less extension on both ends, but I remember purchasing a sheet of sorbothane pads to do this mods. Ahhh fun times! :)

Modding Finalized. Looks ghetto, but I am very satisfied with its sound signature now. @IEMusic asked me last week which is my second favorite IEM for vocals and I told him my modded IT00 after the Volt. I got around to measure the IT00 tonight and realized that they share extremely similar frequency response from 200Hz - 3300Hz (basically entire midrange).
What was the point of this modd ?

Decrease lower Mids warmth and reduce upper Mids peakiness. Just personal preference.
So what exactly are all of the mods that you used? It looks like you placed some MP tape on the inside of the grill? Did you tape up both vents? I remember some time ago @james444 using a needle to poke holes through the mesh of one of the vents, to decrease the bass. Did you perform this mod also?

I’m just wondering what needs to be done to get my IT00 to sound like yours, that your graphed, and whether it is reversible.
Thanks!

yes basically I poke a large hole on front vent then closed both with bandaids then use finer needle to find a right air flow. It is not reversible so I can’t recommend my mod. Also channel matching is pain in the butt unless you have a measuring gear. Front nozzle has a cotton ball rolled into it.

Sooo....23 days after received my it00 and I already have three more new iems :D Sorry for my wallet, I hate head-fi for this :D AKG N40, Campfire Polaris 2 and Campfire C/2019 Q4. I like them all, but the best part is after listening some of these iems and going back to it00 I don't feel they are so cheap, they sound very good. Now I'm waiting for "Lockdown Season 2" but this time I will have more toys for music pleasure.

Does the it00 stand up to any of them as they are all a lot more expensive?

They was on my list but I couldn't resist on C/2019 Q4. Are AM05 better, worse, much different then Q4? 5 BA vs "only" 3 in Q4.
They are excellent IEMs without a question. AM05 excels in the vocals department.

Listened to my IT00 out of the box and i didn't really like it... any chance of getting different/better with use (hours and hours and hours)?
I also need to make a lot of post for selling them!
Cant see where the hype is...

Try some different tips and they need around 100 hours of burn in for the driver. The sound opens up and the extension of frequency improves.
