iBasso IT00 and AM05 Two very different IEMs with one purpose, to Enjoy the Music!

Does anyone have a bit of trouble with tips?

I "upgraded" to these from the BLON BL03, which were nice for the price (I've been away from this topic for like... seven years?.. and had never heard of ChiFi before), but way too metallic, I use them as a backup. The IT00 sounds like a really nice all-rounder. But I'm wondering if I'm missing out on something because of wrong fit.

Maybe it's because of the source - LGV35 with integrated DAC? I feel like the soundstage is relatively small (not unpleasant, just less than what I expected after reading reviews). I feel that maybe the lacking isolation makes the more dark, voluminous tracks lose a bit of that magic darkness and volume (think Leonard Cohen's late albums).

Then again, the tips keep slipping out of my ears (even though my ears are small) and also slip off the metal nozzle.

Any 'tips for tips'? I haven't read through 62 pages here but Google didn't give me anything...
The fact that the earpiece is slipping out of your ear would indicate that you need to use a different sized tip.
Larger, if initially the tip gets a good seal, then over time walks out of your ear
Smaller, if you can't get an initial, good seal

Are you using the tips that came with the IT00 ?
If yes, then you just have to seat them further down the nozzle.
If you're using aftermarket tips, a 4.5 mm inner diameter tip will get you a snug fit.

IT00 was my first IEM, and it impressed me so much that I'd like to explore other IEM's too. Which IEM would be somewhat similar in signature?

E: Under 500 USD
At the same wonderful sound level but with a different airy signature is the ISN Audio D02.

I‘ve never heard it, and others can opine, but perhaps consider the ISN H40.

If you can find it for a good price used, how about the ThieAudio Legacy 9?

Edit: I’d really look into the LZ A7 in the sub-$500 price range. It doesn’t necessarily have the same signature as the IT00, but it has a variable/tunable signature.

resist the urge and stay budget tier is my advice, but then I'm terribly jaded after having my backpack stolen along with 6 iems. The reality is that the following iems will provide you 90 to 95% of the sound quality of higher level iems (<$700), but I might have to replace the lz a7 if there's a sale on 11/11.

Not all having the same profile as the it00 but still great deals:
- blon 03
- tin t2 plus
- it00
- isn d02
- ety er2xr (if you can stand the deep insertion)

There is certainly some wisdom in those statements, and I like all your recs!

Modding Finalized. Looks ghetto, but I am very satisfied with its sound signature now. @IEMusic asked me last week which is my second favorite IEM for vocals and I told him my modded IT00 after the Volt. I got around to measure the IT00 tonight and realized that they share extremely similar frequency response from 200Hz - 3300Hz (basically entire midrange).
