How do you preorder on Amazon when the IT00 doesn't show on the iBasso product list?

What? You haven't done this before?? :) Add to cart then proceed to checkout. :smiling_imp:

Thanks genck for the Amazon link-that works. However, I am on my Amazon Fire tablet and if I search under Electronics for iBasso IT00, I don't get the IT00 at all? That's why I asked the question.

This happens to me all the time, whatever Amazon uses for their search algorithm is terrible. I use google to search for items on Amazon and it works a million times better, just type "amazon (item here)" for the search.

For these headphones using links in the thread or a google search is indeed a better approach than searching within Amazon. That problem will probably go away once a few more pairs are sold.

My Amazon order of these is supposed to arrive Tuesday (sooner than originally promised which is nice).

I don't know about you, but I'm getting tired of all of these IEMs wanting a 100 hr. break in. Now the anticipation of knowing the delivery date is nearing, becomes anti-climactic.

I enjoy the burn in...prefer to do it while wearing.
Then I take a little break for a day...then go back.
It is a very cool process. Just like when the car finally breaks in and the transmission is smoothe.
However, you’ll be happy out of the box.

I let the boy break them in a bit today.
I urge you to listen to some
Billie Eilish

There’s a lot going on in overdub that you don’t hear on the radio but you hear it all with these

Totally agree! I just enjoy listening to them from the very beginning, and just give them plenty of time before coming to any conclusions.

Is this set a clear step up from the bl03? Or is there anything the bl03 does better than this set?

I cut and paste this from a previous review post comparing the IT00 to the BL-03:

Now, I really like the BL-03 and it is a very special landmark CHIFI showing what a sub $30 USD CHIFI can do, but the IT00 is really in a higher league compared to the BL-03.

The BL-03 is excellent in timbre and tonality, but it is poor in fit, has a midbass bloat and the bass can't keep up with fast or complex bass movements. BL-03 isn't the best in isolation/technicalities also. The BL-03 also gets shouty in upper mids with higher volumes (Fletcher Munson curve), and the upper treble is a bit dull for me. All these factors hold it back from being a "giant killer" for me, but YMMV.

The IT00 has better tonality without being shouty in the upper mids even with higher volumes, and the bass of the IT00 is of better quality and speed. The IT00 also extends better in treble and subbass and IT00 has better technicalities in almost all departments. The BL-03 though has better instrumental timbre.

Anyway, BL-03 is actually not a sub $30 IEM if one factors in aftermarket tips and/or cables (which majority of folks need due to the poor fit with the overly short nozzles and stiff stock cables). After factoring these aftermarket tips/cables, top up about $20 USD and you can get the IT00, which I think is the superior IEM here.

TLDR: Maybe the only area the BLON BL-03 wins is in the timbre for acoustic instruments. IT00 is better in other areas like fit, isolation, technical performance, bass quality and even tonality (no shouty upper mids or mid bass bloat like in the BL-03) and accessories. As per diminishing returns in this hobby, the IT00 is not doubly better than the BL-03, but I would consider it a clear upgrade over the BL-03. YMMV.

IMO

I think the timbre is on point with the IT00
If you listen to Jazz and classical like I do, you will find it Rock Solid in all ranges...Solid in all Rock (music) ranges too.
The CF01...along with TIDAL MASTER quality tracks...unbelievable perfection.
And comfort laying down...moving around too...I went downstairs...outside...no issue 40 feet!!!....not tied to 8 or 6 feet with my other phones.

Check out this track. IT doesn’t miss a beat, snare...dark space...
