(In Foobar,) Go to "File -> Preferences -> Playback -> Output -> Device -> 'ASIO : iBassoAudio ASIO Driver'". This should do the trick.

Thanks, Chris. But it's still not working

Now I'm puzzled. Are you using DSD files by any chance? If so, this might be the cause for your issue.

Have you tried turning of the digital signature requirement? We have no difficulty here with our Windows based computers. I am trying to figure out what the problem might be.

I'm not sure, sorry. I'm not familiar with DSD files. I have FLACs, ALACs, and mp3s

Hi guys, question.
does the DX80 have a "partial repeat" function?
I'll try to better explain myself: it's a function like that used to be on older iRivers, that allow you, inside the same song, to set a "play start" and a "play end" and repeat continuously only that segment of that song. Useful for people studying music.

cheers:wink:

The issue with iBasso DX80 battery replacement came up on this forum a number of times. My unit, working so far great and still love the sound, started draining battery at the pace 1% in 2 mins.
Has anything changed or I still have to send it to China?

I need to use the coax out of DX80 to an external DAC such as the Xduoo XD05. Now the cable that comes with iBasso DX80 is in the link below

This is the link to the Xduoo device coax input

Could someone please help me understand as to how I can establish a connection between DX80 and the above device via coax?

I contacted various sources and few said that I could use a 3.5mm TRS stereo cable but then that would transmit only the analog signal, right? If I'm not able to transmit the digital signal to the Xduoo device how will I be using its DAC?
I'm really confused guys, please help.

It doesn't matter if it is analog or digital, the cable will transmit what it is given. Yes there are specially designed digital cables but for such a short length, I doubt you will hear a difference but the stereo cable will transmit the signal as digital not as analog if going from digital output to digital input.

Thank you for the reply.
I have the following cable from Fiio with me.

http://cdn.head-fi.org/4/43/300x300px-LS-439caf01_B003UCC78I-31BlipOCLlL.jpeg

So if I use this cable from the spdif out of DX80 and feed it into the digital in of the Xduoo device, would I be able to transmit a digital signal from it? Please advise.
Thanks.

Yes that will work. It will use the tip to tip for the transmission of the digital signal.
