Unfold 2x is not meant to be.
If you use Mango with that track the output will be 384 kHz 8x (like it was meant to be).
If you use UAPP in another player identified by UAPP as MQA decoder, the output will be 384 kHz 8x or even 768 kHz 16x (like it was meant to be).

That your ears (or mine) cannot tell the difference does not make it valid.

No, I think Neutron leaves that check to Play Store services.
Thank you, and Dmitry from Neutron just confirmed that updates are solely handled through Google Play:

Google Play is pushing updates, app is not doing any checks to avoid
opening Internet connection for that. You could also check Neutron's
web site from time to time or this thread:
https://neutroncode.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=99&sid=e39c9291ac09d513f043fbc4a0092d5c

I must say that I'm impressed with Neutron's responsiveness to queries.:thumbsup:

I have a problem with my DX300. When I change the volume by wheel scrolling, occurs effect of pressing a button - the turned on screen goes out and sometimes shutdown menu is displayed. I think the problem is in the hardware. While I use the software volume control in the mango player. This upset me a lot, because I have no dealer warranty. Has anyone else had this problem?

Exacly this is my only fear with the DX300.
It looks so fragile.

It isn't fragile. The volume wheel is mechanical in a collar that holds it. If the volume control goes out or the on off, that is something that can happen with anything. Mine has been banged around, carried in the pocket and has had a lot of use and no issue at all. But nothing made by humans is perfect and if a volume control module goes out. well then they can be replaced.

Agreed, the volume wheel is rock solid , the side buttons are a hit and a miss. If anything related to the volume wheel, it is probably a defect wheel.
Just as the OP said. It's great, tho, that some feel the volume knob is rock solid and that a defect is likely related to manufacture defect and not fragility, despite appearances. Not that this helps the OP, of course.

I use DX300 without a case, but only at home, never dropped it. For walking I use the DX220. The wheel problem appeared yesterday while listening to Tidal, the screen just turned off, then repeated again. I rebooted the player but it didn't help.
Hopefully it was a software bug. But I will take DX300 to my dealer to know how much it will cost to replace the volume wheel.

I had this exact issue several pages back in this thread. I had to send mine back to the dealer and they fixed it. Granted I was just a few months after purchase.
