Where can you buy it?
From ibasso. They always have the batteries, even way back to the DX100, which I replaced a little while back (new battery).

The main issue is that with glue seal there is no easy way to change batteries and you need to send it back to ibasso anyways.
You use debounder around the edge and a heat gun or have a cell phone shop do it. It isn't hard. You don't have to send it back unless that is what you want to do.

I'd give it a go when the time comes (replace batteries in DX300). Not yet finding a how-to video, tho....

Is anyone using the dx300 as a source with a desktop dac? I am thinking about getting the Gustard r26 and I was wondering how I would use my dx300 as source? I've never had a full sized dac before so I don't know exactly what my options are for using the dx300 as source. I am using my dx300 as source/dac with my wa22 rn with the 4.4mm line out to dual xlr. Would I do the same with the R26 dac or is it possible to use the usb to usb-c on the dx300. I wasn't sure if the usbc on the dx300 could be used like that. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I use the DX300 as a source into my desktop amps and it does a very good job. Very open, well layered and depending upon the amp and headphones, nicely holographic.

Are you using it as a source and a dac? How are you connecting it? I use mine as source/dac into my wa22 but If I buy a full sized dac and have the dac connected to my wa22 with xlr would I need to get a 4.4mm to dual rca cable to go into the dac or can you use the USB from the dac into the usbc of the dac?

The AMP12 with line out to balanced or I have an IC that is 4.4 to RCA (so single ended). I use it as a source and dac. I make my own cables using a very high quality dead soft silver, which I have used for many years and used to use in the cables I made when I sold them. There are many options out there for cables and price points.
