Where did you send it to? Who did you talk to?
Nicholas Tolson. Authorized repair center for iBasso in Maryland. My unit was purchased from Bloom Audio so not sure if it's the same if you purchased your unit somewhere else. I would reach out to whomever you purchased the unit from.

No, it sounds like he is going to keep the amp12 (or that he can't fix it and won't buy another to replace it). To say that he would be lucky to get back the DX300 at all is sort of a clue that he plans on not sending back the amp card. I could be wrong here though. I would be absolutely furious myself.

So he screwed up?! That is part of the business, but to not own up to it and fix the problem, or even admit it is the way of businesses like that. That you can do almost nothing about it is a fact not lost on this person. I DO hope things work out for you, but I fear you are going to be screwed over by this person. I wish there were something we could do.

The fact that they sent it to you not working to begin with should have been the first clue that they don't really care at all, and that they didn't even test it also.
Yes, I also have the stupid feeling that I'm being fooled. Here one is only the stupid foreigner. Sorry that I was so bad at it yesterday. I didn't mean to offend anyone. There are black sheep everywhere, I didn't want to generalize. But I think everyone would have gone crazy and can somehow understand me. Amp 12 no longer functional, components costs and wages. Everything for the bin. Then my Isas exploded. Luckily I still have a guarantee on it. So and the prospect that I will not see the DX300 with amp 11 again. Happy Birthday !!!

Sorry to hear about your experience. Really crap.

In the UK I took my DX220 to a local mobile phone repair shop to fix the charging port, which they fixed but broke something else. Ended up sending it to Steve to properly repair. It's a lesson for all of us to beware generalists saying they know what to do with specialist devices.

It looks stunning. Im thinking about painting the faceplate on mine EXN in rose gold as my dx300 is blue.

The black varient has a plastification coating on top of aluminum that needs to be sanded off for the paint to be applied properly.
Then metal primer base coat, then nitro based paint, and then enamel for protection. Although for the gold paint I advise not to use enamel as it will deminsh the metallic reflaction. (You can use acrylic paint also as long as the enamel on top is compatible and ofc durable)
Also my unit is fitted with a custom Mango OS wallpaper (as shown below) , but I can add any image the buyer would want also.
Really looking for a quick sell so if anyone is interested do plz PM me :)

Unfortunately, the left side is somehow blown. I had hooted them with the amp 11.1 last week Friday. Everything was fine. Saturday morning the amp 12 came back. I installed it. Then I turned on the DX 300. The Isa's plugged in volume was at 10. Then I started a song and just heard a kkrkrkrkk on the left. Then nothing more. I changed the cable at Isa and tried it on my MacBook. dead silence

So, was it the amp12 that failed or was it the buds ?
