@Paul - iBasso
Can you comment on this please Paul? Several of us have raised the issue regarding Ultimate Mode but you have gone quiet for one reason or another?
Our software team is looking at this and we will have a firmware update for the DX300MAX.

I have 1 other complaint.

The official Mango music player (in android mode) seems to be the only player that sounds good on the Dx300max lately. Are they using some kind of dsp thing that makes the playback more warmer and darker? (if so I don't care if it's not bit perfect, cause it sounds very nice)

Or have the other player lost compatibility and it is not a dsp thing. So a bunch of artifacts are being introduced?
On neutron player and UAPP, music is etched sounding and colder. And even more compressed with less layering and dynamics to things.

I do have Ultimate mode active.
I would not use ultimate mode until it’s been fixed.

I have some issues with the battery control (the non-digital section). It’s permanently on 100% and then it goes down to 0%.
I remember, that this was a software topic. But I can’t find the solution…
Have you don't a factory reset? And are you on the latest firmware?

Hi Paul. When can we expect that update, please?
They are on holiday. The Chinese new year. I assume their software group is also gone. I get my glasses made in China through Zenni and they now take two weeks, instead of a few days.

I'm look at picking up a DX300 Max. This may be a dumb question but how do you tell the SS and TI versions apart?

Apart from the weight, the Ti version will have a limited edition number on the metal credit card which is less than 100

No, they all say 300MAX on the card. There were only 500 300MAX's produced and out of those, only 100 were MAX Ti's. Usually a seller will state if they are selling a 300MAX Ti because it is rarer.

I forgot to add that the serial number on the box and warranty card says 300MAX Ti 🙏

Perfect! That's very helpful. Now I just need to track someone down that is willing to part with theirs. I found two in the classified and sent them PMs. Fingers crossed. Originally I was thinking the 320Max but the more I read the more I think that the 300 is more my taste sonically.

I'm still very happy with my 300MAX SS. I have no urge to "upgrade" to the 320MAX, especially given the annoying steps in the volume control of the latter. Now all we need is a firmware update to fix the ultimate mode on the 300MAX.
