many thanks jamato8 seems to be working great again. Any worthwhile firmware upgrades you would also recommend to improve the sound quality?
I don't used many of the functions so a way of permanently deleting some of these in someones build would be great ie i dont need any connectivity to wifi/blue tooth i just plug in IEMs and listen to Flac/WAV. Equalization or DAC settings i don't use or require either.

spoke to soon it has started crashing again seems battery related when below 85%?
the unit has had very little use so this is a shame, I have other DAPs that i use all the time for on the road use but kept the DX200 for home use only maybe 10 times a year

I would do a battery change. It isn't hard to do.
