Glad I read this before purchasing one. Doesn’t matter how good the audio sounds if I can’t hear it the way I want to hear it. Not all of us sit around at a desk and want a wired setup.

Thanks to all the unbiased reviews and honesty out there.

I cant recommend to anyone that wants to use this for bluetooth and my experience is not alone, but if bluetooth is not important and you want probdbly the best bang for buck audio wired with great screen , smooth ui and excellent streaming as long as your not milles away from the router, then honestly buy it it sounds fantastic way above its price point and a keeper for me .

Majo nice to see you here. I have been enamored with the 160 but have not found a compelling reason to purchase. Knowing the reviews you've put out there on various DAPs, sounds like this is a winner for sound quality (see what I did there?). I'm not concerned about streaming and really looking for a great sounding device. Maybe it's time I give up my X5iii finally and replace it with the 160...

Hey rich hows it going? Nice to see you.....Buy it mate lol it sounds awesome, the noise floor is black nice mix of musicality and neutrality fantastic layering and stage, great depth which I feel a lot of midrange daps lack...if you dont need bluetooth its a total winner much better sounding than the m11 in my opinion which you know I owned.

Bluetooth is an absolute for me. Not just for where I work but when I travel. Wired at home when not using my paradigm home setup .. Bluetooth the other 95% of the time. Just the nature of the beast.

I have another post here I’m hoping some folks can chime in on.. thanks for your help

You can not.... All streaming services are DRM protected.

UAAP can... Also a very nice player. Which can play Qobuz and Tidal streaming services.

It's just because it gets easier to download albums hehe. But how do I do what you said? Don't you think it's better to play with Mango?

Yeah I know you can download it and remove DRM. And if you download it's better to play with Mango. Or UAPP

With USB audio Player Pro you can stream Tidal without the hassle to download and get direct USB audio.
With same audio quality... And the musician get paid...

I am wondering if anyone successfully used the device as a USB DAC under Mac OS X. I described that in a thread devoted to USB connection issues on DX160 here. To make things more confusing, under linux it works just perfect.

Another issue is wifi refusing to work at random. This happens only when I am connecting to DSL cable connection's wifi. DX160 is connected to the network, obtains an IP address, but no data are received, in both Tidal and chrome. I can confirm it's not a matter of signal strength. On some days it just works, but on another days it does not. Strangely, the problem never occurs when I use my cell phone as a wifi router.
Running the most recent Lurker firmware.

I'd appreciate anyone throwing some clues on any of the issues.

Have you tried changing the channel on the router? This has shown to be effective at times. I noticed noise on one channel but not on another when I was doing some testing.

I'm not having any Bluetooth issues with my DX160 recently purchased with latest firmware already installed out of the box.

Bluetooth range for me is about 10 meters. In an open area. So I think it's not bad. Better than Fiio M9 for sure.
As well as the darkness on IEM's the KZ ZSX was giving noise on the M9. DX160 dead silence.

Finally done with tweaking... Now enjoy. Standby drain brought back to minimum.

Thanks for the tip, unfortunately my router has no advanced configuration like channel setting. Patiently looking forward for more clues to these problems, maybe new firmware?
