Bumped it up to Android 11 (DX160 is at A8.1). It also supports 384kHz audio files (DX160 topped out at 192kHz). And I would hazard a guess at making some improvements to the WiFi and Bluetooth range to go with the requirements for A11.
Mine will play (at least) 352kHz just fine... :)

Yes it was/is, though I have not seen the newer screen (2020), it looks (from pictures) not as nice, hence the opamp upgrade I suppose.
My 2020 version looks great, but I have to wear sunglasses at night even at the lowest setting. That is my only complaint about it.

Is that direct USB out, or through the headphone output? I don't have anything above 192 myself (yet) but thought the DACs in the DX160 topped out there.

Never mind, looks like I can't read. Even the DX160 does 32/384kHz and DSD256. So no rush from here to run out and get a DX170. I'm still happy with my 160.

Looks like they went backwards on DSD playback (was 256 on DX160, but 128 now on DX170, unless that is a typo), but added FPGA-Master.

Here are the specs for the DX160:

From the DX170 thread. It shows 256 for DSD.

Having this nice pocket sized, very capable DAP for over 2 years. Very happy with the sound quality of the DX160. It really makes all my hps and iems sing.
Definitely looking a future offering from Ibasso with similar size but a much better processor, ram to run higher android with way improved responsiveness.
The color looks much better in person for sure. Best shade of blue for me.

Oooh nooo, has my prayer been answered just a tad bit too late. I already spent my money elsewhere :frowning2:

Why is it so hard to get accessories for this thing? Been hunting for a screen protector for the longest time (a worthwhile one) been treating it like a baby because it doesn't have one on and I want to use it so I'm just going to say f it and just use it

Or you could email @ Paul - iBasso and just order some of the original if you wanted.

After more than 2 years of GENTLE use, my 3.5mm jack shows connection issues...
The online retailer says since it's not under garanty, we can't do much except use the other 4.4 jack...
BUT all of my gear is non-balanced.

Super convenient isn't it? :unamused:

Do I have to buy a 40$ adapter ? -_-
