Hi guys!

i bought one this dap today :)
for the time being I really like it, it has a very nice sound :)
I have a question:
can I only adjust the volume with the wheel?
If you jog the physical volume wheel, it is possible to adjust the volume on the touch screen by sliding a finger up/down near the circular on-screen volume display. Is this what you meant?

Hi

I bought this DAP, enjoyed the SQ for a short while. But then the unit started to play up:
- not booting properly
- freezing, with android unresponsive
- the screen "splitting" with right half showing on left side
- power button not working
- unit overheating

I've tried to capture some of this on a video:

I sent to back to the shop I bought it from (I'm I. Japan), they just said that it's likely due to the apps I loaded and the sound source, and they couldn't see anything wrong.
Seeing as I installed Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, and only had mp3 & flac files on my sd card, I don't buy that explanation.

Are these types of problem normal? I think I've got a duff unit

Are you on the latest firmware? looks like your display is messed up. install the latest stock firmware and reset everything including apps.If this fails, your unit may need to be returned

I would use the Android Tool on the 1st page and reinstall the software.

Thanks, yes, 1.06 installed.
Where are you getting 1.06? the website shows 1.05 as the latest. you probably installed the wrong firmware on your DAP. Use 1.05 instead and turn your brightness to a minimum and report back.

Did you install Purist ROM 1.06? i don't see 1.06 on the iBasso site.

Just stick to the older 1.05 for now if it works fine. There's something wrong with 1.06 display driver files maybe?

There's a link to 1.06 in the first post, direct from Paul- iBasso. I had the same problems with 1.05 before I upgraded.
It's so frustrating!
