@davidmolliere Do you think the DX160 is a good buy compared to the DX150 for example? As they are priced similarly, and even for future Iem's, even if they are "top", does the DX160 handle them well or not?

I am not David but anyway :)

If you buy the DX150 you need to buy Amp8 or maybe Amp9 to get the most out of it. It's another expense you need to factor in. I own the DX150 and Amp8 and very satisfied with it but I think I will get the DX160 and probably retire the DX150 :)

Only negative thing about these Ibasso daps is the relative low battery life. Sound quality is more or less unbeatable at this price and UI is more than acceptable.

Well, that is also exactly what I think, in case I still have to buy another amp module, I am really inclined to the DX160, in the matter of battery I think the latter are quite good in this field too.

dx150 with amp7 goes for 8 hours on my setup easily, usually a bit longer. Amp7 is great unless you need mucho power and sounds very much like amp 8, only amp7 is single ended.
FYI, Got 10+ hrs on the DX160: 4.4mm Balanced out, @ about 50%, Low Gain. Screen off. WIFi On, but not actively using. All Flac 16/44 music from MicroSD Card.

This is really random but if you want to use Digital Coax out on the DX160, you can just use a normal 3.5mm to RCA Stereo cable which are easily found everywhere, and just plug the LEFT RCA (black or white typically) side into your Coax in of your DAC and the 3.5mm side into your DAP and enable SPDIF and it'll work! :)

I'm curious if anyone here has heard a Hiby R6 pro and compared it to the Ibasso DX160. You can get one used for around the same price of the DX160, and I'm wondering there are any notable advantages that the Hiby has over the IBasso.

Hi guyz, I have just ordered an Audio Pro Addon C10 for my little living room and I have some doubts about what should be the better way to connect my DX160. I'd like do it wired, using the line out to the aux in or RCA in, but I don't know what is better. The speaker has got aux in and also RCA in. Is it also possible to use the USB type C as line out? Can someone tell me which is the best way? Many Thanks!

Are these 3 options available?

3.5mm LO to 3.5mm Aux-in
3.5mm LO to RCA-in
USB Type C to 3.5mm Aux-in

And one last question, if someone is doing that, which cable is better? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Honestly, I enjoy lineout from Dx160 and Aux option. The other end of Aux lineout could be anything, RCA or 3.5mm.

I never used Type C as line out and I don’t even have a dongle for that. Does Dx160 have this option ?

I don't know if DX160 has this option... Maybe @Paul - iBasso will help us about it.

Btw I think I will go for line out 3.5mm. The only doubt remains about the end: aux in 3.5mm or RCA in?
