@Paul - iBasso just a quick feedback. After installing Oreo Beta, Go to Setting, Go to Audio Settings, try to set Gain to High, will pop the error Settings keeps stopping.
The only way is to fire up Mango and change the gain setting from there. But Mango doesn't have the setting for "Standard Sound" and "Full Sound".

Hope it will helps.

I have both but don't know if can give you a good advice! I like them both for different reasons but prefer the DX150.

It's more versatile better at driving bigger cans. You have more options with different amp modules and will soon get upgraded to Android 8.0. It's also a bit warmer in the presentation, I would say a bit more musical.

The X7II is smaller better for use on the go. I always take this with me when I travel and mostly use the DX150 at home. The DX150 is big and bulky!

The perfect dap doesn't exist but at 500 usd it's difficult to fault the DX150.

If you plan on investing on the best AMP modules, then DX150 can sound better.

In the default configuration, DX150 (AMP6) vs FiiO X7mkii (AM03A), DX150 is warmer, and X7mkii is more neutral, and has a wider soundstage. DX150 is smoother overall, and has less treble harshness, but also less treble impact.

DX150 has more potential with the current selection of AMP modules.

X7mkii is also extremely good, especially if you don't want to invest in subsequent AMP modules, where iBasso really created some jewels. For X7mkii, you basically either use it as it is, AM03A, or add AM05, but that's pretty much it. For DX150, you have AMP4S, AMP8, AMP5, lots of other options from the default AMP6, which is a bit colored and special by itself

Try to think what type of sound you'd like. What shape do you prefer. Do you need two microSD slots? There are many things that separate the two...

AMP6 will be more than fine.

If @NiVrA wants to use IT04 and DM6, then AMP6 is a great match
