Just a heads up: new firmware for the DX150 (Android 8.1), V1.03.036.
http://ibasso.com/down.php

Improvements with this firmware:

1. Rectified the bug that the device name is displayed as DX200 in some areas.
2. Rectified the bug that the first time a 24/96 or 24/192 music file is played after boot up, the play speed is incorrect.
3. Rectified the bug that when 24/48 was output via SPDIF, the play speed was doubled.
4. Rectified the bug that there is a small possibility that the battery can't be fully charged.
5. Option to format the SD card as internal memory has been deleted. (Android OS)
6. Now allows volume adjustment when the screen is off while in USB-DAC mode. (Android OS)
7. Rectified the bug that there is a chance that the play speed is doubled when used with a Bluetooth device. (Android OS)
8. Rectified the bug that there is a small possibility that the thumbnail album artwork under Album view was not displayed. (Android OS)

Instruction For Firmware update:

1. Copy and paste the DX150-OTA_V1.03.036.zip to your SD card's root folder.
2. Go to Android OS, press Settings-->System-->Updater-->local update-->SD Card and tap the zip file.
3. The whole update will take about 10 minutes. Reboot the DX150 after update completed.

Add-on v.1.17, compatible with firmware 1.03.036, is available!

Changes:
  • Compatibility with 1.03.036. It shall not be worse than the official firmware.
  • Magisk updated to version 18.1.
  • Kernel parameters tuned to prevent CPU overheating and increase performance (with great help of @NiVrA!)
First, install 1.03.036 per its instruction, then apply the update the way you like (AndroidTool or bootable SD-card).

to update do i need to, delete old lurker firmware and then update the new firmware? if so how do i delete the mod?

I followed the instructions provided with the original post to put the new ibasso firmware on the sd card and update through the android menu. Then factory rest as advised after all firmware updates. Make sure if you have anything in the internal DX150 you back it up prior to updating.

Question, if im on lurkers and update this new fw, should i reload again lurkers one or no need??

Zep, well that's up to you IF you want Lurker's update or not!

if you don't want Lurker's update - just install the official iBasso firmware (Android 8.1) V1.03.03, hard reset - you're good to go!

but if you do - install the official iBasso firmware 1st (Android 8.1) V1.03.03, hard reset - then install Lurker's add-on v.1.17, hard reset - you're all set!

just follow the instructions that came with both files and you'll be fine!
