Do what you feel turokrocks. But I feel the player is well worth the cost and at a $90.00 savings you've got nothing to lose IMO. They have great customer service and are gonna fix the issues. Just be prepared to be very disappointed in your other audiophile DAPs. Won't be surprised if I see you posting them up for sale shortly thereafter lol.

I think I'm going to wait. 50€ difference isn't going to make me haste any decisions. I want to read more reviews before committing to this kind of investment. And I have the time: my MiniDisc Walkmans are still doing fine; I haven't worn my first MZ-EH1 out yet (I have a backup one NIB)...
 
Gap-less via PowerAmp is encouraging though, and the impressions on SQ have convinced me pretty much. Capacity, both internal and external are appealing...
