I'm actually guessing that nothing we guess here will make a difference to the final price.
Code:Sample Rate Converter
Sushi, Rice & Cat-fish.
$500-700 will be a good price for the western market, but that is still a very niche category 0.1% of consumers, they won't compete with Sony or Apple unless they price it at under $400.
Yeah, and with 64GB+32GB they can start to compete with Sony, Zune and Apple, perhaps get 5% of total western marketshare instead of 0.1%, if the price is the same or less than Sony, Zune and Apple.

judging a product based solely on whether or not it looks cool.
How does this not look cool? They should price it under $400 to compete with Sony, Apple, Zune they will become rich.

Unless, off course, parts, labour and R&D equates to more than $400
Wrong, when Sony made the first CD player, they LOST lots of money for years, negative all the way.
Same thing with the PS3, massive losses and also inject money into advertising, now of course they are very successful. You have to put everything you can into a product and keep the price low and lose money, that's the key to success, not Colorfly $800 walnut crap.
