Ibasso dx100 +He-500 or He-400

Im ordering the ibasso dx100 for my cousin, do you think an entry level audiophile listener would enjoy teh He-400 or the He-500 on the ibasso?

It works great with the HE500.

I imagine either. I have the HE-500. It will drive either. Of course with the 500 or 400 it isn't going to be a walk around portable. For that the Koss Porta Pro is a steal of a phone.

You have one lucky cousin...wish my cousins would buy me a DX100.

With the Hifiman HE-500 I was less satisfied as the dynamics got compressed even though the Ibasso managed to push a good loudness level. 
 
 
 
now, i already own the dx100 and am thinking about getting the he500 in the future, do you guys think the dx100 is really enough to drive the he500? do you guys not have the issue mike had?
