Didn't you sell the CLAS too not soon after you got that GG?

I have just tried charging the DX100 with this battery. It is charging fine. I was a bit wary that the 2ma current output might ruin the DX100, so I emailed iBasso about the charging current, they said it was safe.

You will probably have to do up a dc cable that has two male plug that fits onto the femail ends of the battery and the player.

I may test this out over the weekend.

I have been using these battery packs to power my portable 12v dacs, but first I have to get a dc cable soldered so that one end fits the player and the other fits the connector of the battery.

Some interesting high quality downloads from http://www.2l.no/

They seem to take attention to detail very seriously and they have a very interesting catalogue and you can listen to tracks before purchase.

Just started a 6.6GB download of Tellefsen Piano works; it may be some time before I get to hear it...

Glad you're enjoying them and they keep getting better and better as time goes on. They do not have a puny sound and the fullness of the sound presentation is sooooo satisfying; yet the detail is all there.

To the HD650, although it has only had 12 hours on it so far, one of the highlights for me thus far, is it's reproduction of the piano.  The grand and majesty of this instrument is portrayed very convincingly, from the glassy right hand to the resonating left hand and everything in between. The scale and dynamics are really truthfully reproduced via the HD650 and DX100. I am very impressed!!!

Thanks again for the recommendation of the HD650 DWbirdseye

Wow it has a search button at the end of it! My day just got a whole lot better :)

And yes, the J3 UI was.. interesting, to put it lightly. After using it so much I have absolutely no qualms about the DX100's UI or even it's bugs.

Without meaning to brag, I found that within a minute or two of first firing-up my DX100
I blame it on my experience of having to explore the hell out of my Cowon J3 when I got that (very idiosyncratic UI on that DAP!)

Now that you mention it... J3 users might have an advantage here! I never thought about how the stock player was put together, just annoyed at how it goes back to A each time you go back to the list of artists/albums/genres etc. As a former J3 (and X7) owner I'm totally fine with a funky UI as long as the sound is good

To those who say that the dx100 sounds better with cans than iems-
Do you mean ALL iems or just balanced armature iems?

I strongly disagree with that.

It sounds great no matter what music I throw at it or which headphones I plug into it. Mine has been used with AD700, HE-500, FS Atrio MG7, Alessandro MS1, Goldring 150, Sennheiser HD280 and Spiral Ears Ref. 5 customs. Next week I hope to be able to plug in my UM Merlins as well... It it dead quiet with sensitive IEMs and it'll power the HE-500 with great control and punch without breaking a sweat. I think its versatility is what actually impresses me the most.
