I have both the ZX2 and the DX100 and the DX100 is more neutral, not so overly warm and better detail and soundstage. I used to really enjoy the ZX2 but in comparison, the DX100 is just better, IMO, in all areas. I look forward to the DX200 as it has to be at least as good as the DX100 and I am sure, will be better and I assume, half the size.

well the zx2 is really unbeatable in battery/internal storage/ueasy to use/UI so i find it hard selling it for a better sounding dap with a 6 hour battery or laggy UI

thanx for the feedback , cheers

That's not what happened with the dx80, unfortunately. This may be a matter of opinion, but as weird as the dx90, and I use the dx90 for my main dap, he dx80 didn't seem to measure up in important areas, like UI, and sound. Just has more storage. I imagine access to materials may have changed and they got lucky with the dx100. However, I am hopeful for a better sounding dx200

Does anyone know how to install the Russian firmware using a Windows 10 machine? Using the installation tool the dx100 isn't recognised (windows does).

Sorry should said that rockchip drivers are installed and ibasso dx100 shows up in device manager. But batchtool icon is pink not green. Pressing "2" after choosing image throws up an error.

Before anybody replies, yes "read previous posts! Quite a few people have the same problem even if the driver is successfully installed with no universal solution as far as I can see.....

Yes exactly! I still have the original firmware on mine. I sent it back to China...twice...and I missed a trick by not getting them to put the latest firmware on it.

Many people prefer 1.2.7 to 1.4.2. I have never had a problem updating. Just download the image from Ibasso. Connect the dx100 to your computer and copy image to root directory of the dx190. As soon as you disconnect the dx100 will ask if you want to update. Confirm and it does it's thing. If you are still on the original software you should really see a difference....
