I just got a new DX100 but is not being recognized by the computer when I connected with the Mini usb cable..any idea what could be happening?

the DX100 should prompt to "Turn On USB Storage" you need to click that

No it doesn't show anything..when I connect it to the computer nothing happens. This is so frustrating I think it might be a defective unit..the process to send the damn thing to China argg.. this should not happen with a U$ 860 unit. Whats wrong with Ibasso QC?

do you have another microusb cable to try? also try to click  the reset button

Easy and cheap things first....Try a different usb cable and see if you then get the Turn On prompt on the screen.

This has happened to me on occasion and it's never been the DX100.
 
So...
 
Try another device and to make sure the USB port is working.
 
Reboot Windoze
 
Reset the DX100
 
Assuming the USB port is working,  turn off your DX100 and connect it to the USB port.
 
This has always worked for me.

Also, you could try inserting the µ-USB tip in a slanted manner into the DX100 and see if it changes anything. The µ-USB port on mine has been soldered incorrectly on the PCB, such that I have to insert the tip at a slight angle. I should have sent my unit back to iBasso for fixing right after noticing this, but I haven't been able to bare the idea of letting it go from me since plugging my headphones into it

Tupac, do you mean that as standalone units (without external amps) you prefer DX100 over 801, 901 and AK120?

Yes I do. I haven't find a source doesn't improve when paired with 627. it's such a extreme neutral and musical amp.
