I have been listening to two old albums on FLAC with the DX100 > silver/gold hybrid cable > SE535ltd. These albums really sound truly stunning out of the DX100!

Enigma "MCMXC a.D."

On track 2 - The Principles of Lust, the juxtaposition of the woman moaning "I wanna....."  and the monks chanting is just so surreal

 in such clarity!

What resolution do you have this CD in? I only have it in redbook ALAC. Do you have it in 24-bit?

Anyways I left the DX100 in sleep mode for about 21 hours from 100%. It drained the battery to 67 percent. Not saying that is wonderful but considering how long it was left like this it's really not as bad as I thought it would be. So I wouldn't recommend leaving it in sleep more more than 8 hours as I only experienced 6 percent drainage.

I've used mine plugged in at times. Thing is sometimes it may run hot while other times it will be cool. Something I don't understand myself. Funny thing is ever since getting that silicone case my unit hasn't ran hot since even while plugged in.....

You can use Tenso.com forwarding service to obtain the case. But it will cost additional to go this route. I recommend you also pick up screen protectors for the device to make it worth your while.

Is it possible you're just not feeling the heat because the case is holding it in?  Sticking a finger or a temperature sensor under the case would answer that question.

I took the case off and there was not much heat at all. Barely any heat. So I doubt it.
