Great q! And what does it do?
notes from v98

Improvements with this firmware:

1. Allows up to 3dB PCM volume reduction with the "PCM Volume Reduction Button".

PS. Single press the "PCM Volume Reduction Button" to reduce the PCM volume by 1dB with 2nd and 3rd presses to reduce the volume for 1dB each time. The 4th press will return the volume to 0dB reduction.

Firmware Upgrade Instructions:

1. Plug your DC-Elite into a Windows computer.
2. Run iBasso_Tool_V1.2.exe
3. Press "Start" and wait until the upgrade is done.

mine had a strange behavior on pc usb out, on both main and office pc.

with the ibasso driver installed, playing music on foobar using dc elite output (exclusive mode). there would be wierd popping sound when playing music. if i change the output to normal/non exclusive mode, it plays normally, nothing wrong.

i uninstalled the driver, and it turns out it plays normally without any popping sound on exclusive mode, on foobar.
As an update, sometimes in spotify in a middle of a song it has also gone silent and repluggin fixes it everytime and makes a littlebit louder popping sound, than normal disconnect, on headphones on the DC Elite.

I will try without exclusive mode on windows and after that uninstalling the driver if that fixes the problems. Maybe I try different cables also, as I only have used one Sony cable.

Only one person has told that they have weird behaviour on PC use or any usecase. Are majority of people here really without these problems? Please comment if you have had no disconnects with the Elite and have used it extensively?

Owner since release day and no disconnects, although I did need to reinstall the windows driver when the device would not play nice with windows 11

Hi all, just got this and I’m quite liking it! The only issue I’m having is that I usually like to change the volume with my laptop or phone, and I can’t seem to do that with the DC Elite. The app is pretty barebones and I can’t see that specific option.

So, anyone know how to change the volume on the DC Elite from your source?

I dont think you can change the volume of the DC Elite via source, I might be wrong, I just got this not too long ago as well. I have the Volume knob about 1 - 2 clicks before max volume on the knob and just adjust volume from source/phone

Thanks for your reply. I might not made myself quite clear with my poor wording, but I cannot change the volume of my source. The only volume I am able to change is that of the DC Elite with the wheel, but changing the source volume on iPhone and Mac is not possible. That is what I am looking to do.

Thats weird, haven't used it on an iPhone only on a Google Pixel 8 Pro. On the Pixel phone I have the volume knob at max volume on the DC Elite and it lets me volume down the music via the volume buttons on the side of the phone. Again, I haven't tried it on an iPhone.

Maybe you gave some app the permission to take the controll over the Elite?

Thanks for the reply. Is there any way to disable bit perfect? I’ve been scouring settings on my Mac to do so.
If I turn on bit perfect on tidal on my mac, then I can’t control the volume over tidal. If I turn it off then I can. Deezer don’t have that feature so I can always control the volume over deezer app. What streaming service are you using?

I'm using Apple Music, but I can't change the volume systemwide. I'm wondering if it's an issue limited to me?

You can also see my "Sound" at the top it greyed out system-wide when the DC Elite is selected.

Changing the volume results in a this sign.

Thanks for all of you guy's help until now!
