Yes, the D2 and P2 are supposed to be the same amp so why not get the D2. The size is good and you have the option of what should be a very good dac chip for USB.

Question for All for Have Ordered a D2: How long after placing your order did you get a confirmation or any kind of notification from iBasso about your order? I placed my order on Monday and have received nothing. Thanks.

Thanks guys,

I've gathered that the D2 will not have DIP sockets after the 100th unit, is that true? I really want to have the ability for opamp rolling...

Hard to say for sure. Might depend upon the popularity of it (how well it sells).

Funny guy. :^) I think maybe at this point just a few people have received theirs. I would prefer to let it burn-in before I swap opamps or I won't know how it sounds stock but that is the fun of having dip's, like having a tube amp.

Hard to say for sure. The Predator, because of the huge capacitor and low current takes over 1000 hours. The smaller caps in the D2 will take less so a rule of thumb and experience would tell me around a few hundred hours.
