congratulations. i'm sure you won't regret it. ever since i got my cd3000, my senn 580+equinox has been gathering dust in the drawer. this headphone just outshines the senn's everyway possible, in my opinion.

i am currently using the same set up of gilmore V2 and the cd3000 - it is a great combo for the money .
i like the cd3000 over the athw1000 on the gilmore.

the bad news is i am getting rid of the gilmore V2 as i found a melos SHA1 and ill get it soon.

i think ill end up with a melos sha 1 and a grado hp1000 headphones.

my guess is the hd590 will hit the for sale forum soon.

I think you will be very happy, Lou. CD3Ks are pretty captivating, especially at first. Easy to drive and don't seem to nee a lot of break in. I'll be interested in your impressions in a couple of months, but I think you've found a keeper.

Congrats, LTUCCI,

I just got my pair of 3000's on Saturday and think they are superb. Huge soundstage, and air.......great detail, and simply incredible comfort. I've been listening to cd's in every spare moment.
Now, I NEED to buy that new AMP to go with them! Damn this hobby! I will be eating Kraft macaroni and cheese, from the .59 cent box for the next year if this continues! <g>
