I put the RS-1s on (out of curiosity) , listened for about 3 minutes, walked them over to the counter and told them to wrap em up. I came home with the headphones, did some googling and came across this site. I'm now searching out amps and DACs as I become further and further addicted to head-fi all thanks to the RS-1s.

Hahaha. I like this story

Someday maybe...

They're tremendous phones. I have an older pair that sound wonderful and with flat pads I find them more comfortable than quite a few of their competitors. They're also small enough to wear lying down and they do scale well -- using them now with my MAD I am impressed all over again, and with all kinds of music from rock to jazz to electronica (!) to chamber music. Nothing does cello like an RS1!

enjoy and best,

o

Hehe. Doesn't that goes for most head-fiers. xP

Well, you could have a better deal for sure. But Headroom is a great company and their refund policy really makes things more comfortable for the buyer. Although i don't see you returning them. You won't regret, the RS-1 is simply amazing ...

Where do you find the best deal for Grado RS-1?

I am green with envy.

Enjoy

Congrats with the purchase!

The RS-1 is awesome, and I am certain it will sound sweet with the 336 using the right tubes!

In December, I paid $630 for mine from TTVJ including FedEx 2-day. You have to be a member of his newsletter for an extra 2% discount from his special price.

I don't think it's possible to regret the RS-1 purchase - it is an awesome headphone. Not to sully it's name by association with Budwiser, but it's the King of Dynamic Headphones!

You guys are killing me, ever since I got my SR225's (which I love) I have been wondering if I just should have gotten the RS1s.

It sounds like I desperately need to try out these headphones. I wonder what stores carry them in Seattle.
