Hey guys,

So excited, omega announced this watch at Basel 2008 and I'm one of the first in the US to have one of these puppy. Only 10,007 will be made in the world, and I got number 456!

Check it out

Since it takes me about a week to scratch the crystal on any watch I buy, I can't imaging buying a good watch. It is gorgeous though.

When I was in Switzerland, I bought a 5 euro watch in a Coop department store.

I assume that the Omega has a sapphire crystal which won't scratch unless you take a diamond or carbon nanotubes to it.

i would guess you have a better chance to accidentally rub the AR coating that is on the glass, some companies will coat both sides of the glass, some not. A little smudge of it missing is noticeable but you will have two choices, one is to replace the crystal and the other it to remove it totally. not sure if Omega does both sides or not though...

Congrats on the co-ax! said to be one hell of a movement for long life. cool one off type of piece, don't worry about scratching the bracelet or bezel, that can be easily replaced or polished..so wear it..you know make you sure you spend lots of time with it!

AR is only on the inside, I don't know whether that's good or bad, but this watch looks really nice in real life, I think i'm going to try to wear it as often as I can =)

My wife scratched my sapphire crystal when her diamond ring rubbed against it. Arrrrg. Diamonds are not a man's best friend

That's a nice watch, but I could never get myself to buy a watch model named after a fictional character. A regular Seasmaster is a classic but a 007 edition just seems cheesier somehow.

Gorgeous watch! I bought the blue face/bezel Seamaster a few years ago after seeing Pierce Brosnan sporting it in the movies and I still love it but I've gotta admit this special edition is awesome. I was a little disapointed that it wasn't featured in Casino Royale...
