Well the return policy isnt so great...I can return them!
 
Any way to tell if they are the newer model? Says 2008 at the bottom...

Haha I didn't I was at a restraunt across the street and was drinking and wanting the M50's for the past month and figured I'm going into the Navy and won't be able to enjoy my music for a while so screw it ...you only live once

Hey see if you can go back and price match.  I'm not sure if it will work since you already bought them.  I know you can price match if you just walk in and ready to buy.

They will honor anything listed on Musician's Freind. I know because I picked up some beyer Dt 880 pro and had them price matched.
 
This will get you about $ 50 bucks back.....

Well you can comfort yourself by the fact that in Europe they cost a lot more than the usual ~$110 in US. The cheapest I was able to find here was 145€ ($199)...

Yeah living in europe sucks.  Grado sr80i's are 160 Euros = $220

Yea, M50 in Finland go for 145 EUR, that's with 23% VAT included though but still for 120 EUR excl VAT that's still much expensier than US. It's not the same thing for all heahphones though but only particular models. DT770 for example costs pretty much the same as the M50 and the XB700 can be had for as little as 63 EUR (incl VAT) in Finland which is cheaper than in US even so it varies greatly depending on headphone.
