I AM STEMAING MAD RIGHT NOW [Dont Use MexPost or never ship to mexico via standard mail] (Split from MDR-Z7 thread)

Mar 11, 2016 at 2:45 PM Post #16 of 59
My fear is that as i have read thousands of horror stories about stealings.... what can happen if they don't use the CN24 for or they refuse to give me it in english or totally refuse to give me one.

As far as i Have read  in the posts and stories, they only "pass the ball" between themselves and in one case i read the mail main from his own pocket paid the addressee because he lost the pack

It would be between the shipper and the carrier. This is where I wrote I hope the shipper protected themselves. I just went thru this with PP. They don't care, first step is send it back to shipper. PP will actually reimburse buyers return shipping. The shipper obviously would reply they sent proper package when asked. If shipper covered themselves with insurance, then they would now exercise that insurance claim.

As far as the package, did the buyer notice that it was repacked? If you noticed it was repacked you should not have received it, and/or opened it in front of the carrier as proof.

Your case would be correct, if the item was damaged or stolen by the shipper carrier, again, USPS completed it duty once it delivered the good to Mexico Postal Office....why would USPS cover the claim under insurance ? They made it very clear that once the good is delivered to the local PO, they are no longer responsible

Went to the post office and the Dude who I spoke with was totally clueless what a CN-24 form was I told him what happened and he told me it's customs problem not of Mexican post,

That rig of fishy smell, and again...I am not even surprised that it was the custom....and still Mexico custom. That were what happened to my incident before, nobody takes responsibility

Hmm, you're missing the point. If I contract to USPS to ship something they guarantee it gets there with their insurance. If they then pass it off to another subcontractor, that's their problem, not mine. Well it's my problem since I chose USPS I suppose. But if the package was swapped, it still remains USPS liability. Essentially, you pay them to ship package from here to there, but they don't actually finish the job, pass it off to 3rd party. USPS has to have some measure of guarantee that their 3rd party will fulfill the promise, otherwise that's just a failure on USPS business wise.

**Also at end of day it will again fall back to shipper. Buyer can file with his credit card company.

Is that your policy, or is that their (USPS policy) ? Because the last time I encountered it, if USPS delivered the goods to the country PO, they are done with their liability and responsibility. That is the problem with out of the country system. If speaking within the US, then you are correct and all points are valid

Again, every time I ship out of the country using the USPS system, they tell me clearly that if the item arrive in the local PO they are no longer responsible, and that their tracking number would not work either. It is out of their hand, they have no ability to do anything in that country systems

I've phoned the customs agency in mexico city airport where te Pack arrived and ******* SCHIIT they freed the package and andled over Correos de mexico (mexican post) , they told me also we opne packages to inspect for illegal stuff like Porn, drugs, piracy. I replied i don't care for wat reason you opne the packages but i want to know where is my item... He goes silent and says maybe postal workers stole it, we don't know what happened Sir.

Damn Passing the ball screw

To make it worse Correos de mexico is government owned institution bloody rats

I have never shipped to Mexico except once with gerelmx1986 because insurance from Canada Post to Mexico either does not exist or is so expensive its not worth doing the transaction. The one time I did an exchange it was for only a cable and gerelmx1986 and I both decided to take a risk that things would work out, luckily it did. I also can not ship to many Asian countries for the same reason.

Unfortunately in Canada using UPS or other courier services are insanely expensive. Consequently I am limited to Canada and US for the most part.

They will pass the buck, because unfortunately, no one wants to take responsibility for it, especially with it being an expensive item.

No that is law. This is also WHY USPS disclaim they will not be responsible. So YOU as the shipper better find a better carrier.

Companies ALWAYS try to blame their subcontractor. I've been thru this many times in my life with other companies. They never get away with it. However, USPS disclaim this clearly so if you as the shipper decide to use them anyways, that is on you.

Now, you see ? That law only applied to USPS in the US....read my post...I agreed about the shipper should be picking a better carrier. But this will not help the problem ghe is having either

Pretty much, PayPal out of the country also considered once the item is in custom, it is delivered. Most of the time.

Keep trying, this was 2 years ago to me.
