So which USB cables that satisfy the industry standard do not work with Hugo TT2 ? I see that on the Morrow website there is no claim that this cable does.

Because I own that Morrow Audio cable, and while it works on the Qutest, it doesn't work on the TT2. I then spoke to a Chord engineer, and they said since the TT2 also draws power through the USB, it is more selective with which cables work if they're outside the USB specification. They said all of Audioquest USB cables work, but they have not tested all cables.

So that is my point If you own a TT2 and you wish to buy a USB cable make sure it at least meets the industry standard.

Yup, and I just bought the Sablon Panatela Reserva Elite 2020 USB Cable! Costs a pretty penny at $750, but I've heard nothing but raves about it, and that it punches above its weight, too!

I suggest you PM @Rob Watts because he has posted that some expensive usb cables do not meet the industry standard.
I suspect that head-fi rules prevent him naming the offenders publicly.

Regarding RFI

Regarding usb cable and connectors being too high resistance (causing too much voltage and current drop - problematic when charging). Charging is not a problem for the TT2, but this is just another example where out-of-spec cables, can cause issues for dac owners.

I think there are additional post(s) on the Mojo threads

Quite, that was the point of my post which you have quoted. I am unaware of any well made USB cable which meets the industry standard that will not work with TT2 or any other Chord DAC for that matter.

Thank you, it helps me a lot. It would be nice to answer us how he was finally treated ..
First time poster here. Just to comment on customer service from Chord.
I had an issue with my tt2 yesterday and sent an email. I had a reply from Ed Selley within 4 hours and I have also had a follow up email this morning from Ed.
From a customer service standpoint that was far better than I expected. Just giving credit where it's due.
Rodger.

Actually, I was confirmed by Sablon Audio and several owners of that cable who also own the Hugo TT2 that the powered version works perfectly, so I bought it yesterday.

I'll get it by the end of the week, I can't wait!

You should be fine. The MScaler needs the 5v and I use a Sablon 2020 USB cable with it which works perfectly where others without the 5v connection have not worked.

I told my fellow TT2 owner friend @kyle880307 that this cable could be end game, too. What do you like most and what improvements did you hear with the Sablon 2020? What was your previous cable?
