100+ Head-Fier
Today I installed ten clip on ferrites on my BNC cable feeding the TT2. If I had any complaints about the TT2 after the first two days of ownership, it would be that all the detail coming through can be a little overwhelming, and the sound leaned towards the bright side. This is only through speakers I am talking about. The ferrites definitely have smoothed the sound out, took the edge off, so they appear to be doing their job. I am not sure if the TT2 requires burn in or not, so maybe I should just leave it playing for a week or two before tweaking things? Another thing I may try next is single end connections between the TT2 and my Anthem amp, right now I am using XLR connections between the two, Any thoughts on this? Also, I can move the TT2 from my TV rack to an empty shelf on my Naim Fraim, to see if better physical isolation adds anything positive. The Fraim also helps with cable management/dressing, which also could be a plus...so many things to try, one day at a time.
