I will wait to receive MScaler, listen to the Chord input cables to get used to their sound, and at some point I will order them.

Just to say that their price is quite high for me ...

Has anyone tried an SOTM SMPS 500 with the M Scaler , high quality switch mode power supply? I’ve considered auditioning one, it’s a shame because I’ve had one when I had the 200 ultra neo se , might be an alternative to lps if Rob is leaning towards this approach, it will have “blanket” filtering ferrites etc etc in the design but it delivers great current output?

Guys today I ordered the M Scaler for the Chord Hugo tt2, and I will have the device in about 3 weeks. But I will always have the following question: If I had to buy a single device, which would be preferable, or buying MScaler, or innuos usb reckcloker, (https://www.google.com/amp/s/audiobacon.net/2020/09/08/innuos-phoenix-usb-reclocker-review/amp/), and why?

Do you have an opinion on this?

M-Scaler no doubt imho. An intel nuc and Intona 7055b make a great source

I use intel NUC i7 8th gen as kernel and Auralic g1 as end point. Interesting this galvanic usb you showed ..

The Intona 7055b has not only galvanic isolation but also no capacitive coupling.

Very good strategy. After few weeks with MScaler and stock cables, it should be easy to see if the cables are worth it.

I use a PH SR7 (single regulated) with my HMS. To me it gave a clear improvement over the stock power supply - in all the ways Rob often talks about: e.g. more depth and reduced brightness. Overall a more effortless and dynamic sound. I originally used a 15V rail, but later had to shuffle things round to accommodate other components, and now use a 13V rail (some say 15V sounds slightly better, but I haven't compared). Upgrading the DC cable to a DIY Mundorf silver/gold further improved SQ.

My SR7 is around 3 years old, and current ones have slightly different designs - in some ways for the better, such as protection circuitry, but are no longer fully customisable.

Would you mind sharing where you purchased the parts from and what parts you used? The cable looks great, does it sound great too?
