I used standard supplies with Russ X block and balanced transformer. There was an improvement. I already had Farads in use, when P12 arrived and I saw no sense in going back to stock supplies or wall plug. Actually, I have not change anything since then and it makes me happy Just waiting for DAVE2 or whatever Chord throw on us next.
after seeing @AndrewOld post about this company, I gave them a go. I just wanted to tidy up my cables, I haven’t listened yet, but hopefully it’s not worse then current.
I’ll connect my opto dx receiver to my tt2 with these.
Thanks Andrew, they really feel like quality, though a bit stiff.
These particular cables aren’t listed on their website, www.designacable.com but you can email them to ask for their best 75 ohm cable.
I'll be the first to state I am a non-technical person and instead focus on listening to music. But cleaning up the electrical thingamajigs made a remarkable improvement in hearing the music burst forth.
Thanks, but I don´t use any of the subscripton based streaming platforms.
And I already own the SACD. I MUCH prefer to own my music and not need to be connected to the Internet to listen to music.
I listen to LPs via my Linn LP12, cds and hi res downloads via Mscaler and occasionally SACDs via my SACD player. But Mscaler is so good that I rarely try to feed my old SACD player anything these days.
The only streaming I use is sometimes what is uploaded here from YT and some free of charge classical music sites.
I live in Sweden and both the Royal Philharmonic and The Royal Opera in Stockholm stream free on a regular basis .Another free site is GSO Live in Gothenburg.
No need at all to pay for streaming on top of my monthly internet bill, as I see things.
Cheers CC
My situation here in the countryside where I prefer to live is indeed different to the situation I could have in my flat in town where I have high speed internet via fibre. But here in the cottage in the woods I am on a usb connection so yes I turn it on and off several times per day since it is charged per gigabytes used.
A compromise yes ,but nature is nature and town is town.
Cheers CC

Man walks into Harrods.
Buys the latest G1 LG oled.
Asks the salesman "WHATS THIS BUTTON WITH NETFLIX ON IT"
Salesman answer - that's just to switch to Netflix sir!
Man says "I will NEVER connect my TV to the internet"
Salesman shakes his said and just asks "Sir, can I have your credit card to complete the purchase"
Man walks out happy. Buys a few Blu rays on the way home.
And watches them.
Over and over again, never discovering the wonderful new stuff out there. He just won't connect to the internet to discover Netflix, Tidal, (Qobuz and) Spotify.
That's ok.
Who cares anyway if the man misses out on one of the greatest inventions (Streaming) ever to benefit music and film lovers?

I'm being facetious there as I don't have any issues with it, to each his own, personally I prefer to own and store a copy of my music for when I travel (which isnt much lately) or poor internet.
I have also discovered (on this site actually) that artists get paid a pittance for streamed content compared to music physically sold (as a CD or as a download).

I think a lot of musicians and songwriters would feel otherwise. Not easy to untangle the claims of labels and streaming platforms who argue otherwise but it does feel as though the creators of music are getting a thin slice of the profits. I do subscribe to Qobuz but still purchase downloads/CD's

Another man walks into the store to buy dvd or bluray since in the morning he found out that the great movie he wanted to watch had been removed few days ago. The difference lays here: own vs rent.
While I love streaming I feel sorry for all those people who thinks everything is available on those platforms and limit their world so much.
Anyway: the most important part is to enjoy music regardless of form and format.

I have been a streaming-only guy since I gave all my CDs away many years ago, but I have found out, to my dismay, that indeed streaming content is not forever and can disappear from streaming services... The risk of this happening is larger if you listen to less popular genres, like metal, in my case. So yes, there is definitely value in owning content that is precious to you..
Man goes back to Harrods and asks the salesman why were you shaking your head?
"oh sir, because streaming is not mutually exclusive. You can still play high quality 4k Blu ray, but there's a world of content to discover"
Man goes back and yet instead of connecting his TV to the internet, - decides to stop paying for broadband at home and searches for a deal for dial up 56K modem access.
