That's an impressive number of inputs
. With input on automatic, wouldn't the M Scaler automatically switch between them, depending on what's playing?

..I understand what you are telling me. Yes, I saw that it has each entry separately, so I think it will be easy for me to do the routines I want. The good news is the M Scaler remote has a separate button for each input... even optical 1 & 2. So I would imagine you'll be able to create the routines and specify an actual input rather than relying on the auto source button. Even if you have to teach the Harmony remote the Chord remote buttons.
..when it is idle, it activates when the Hugo tt2 I have is activated? How is it activated?Edit. The M Scaler doesn't have an on/off button though. It will automatically go to standby after a certain time of no use.

The photo below shows some of the routines I want. I will also have to involve the MScaler device to change the inputs, depending on which device I mentioned above I want to activate. When in standby the M Scaler has a single white light to show it's inactive. As soon as it receives a signal from the TT2, it fires up. So, in Harmony, you would have routine that would activate, bring the TT2 out of standby first I guess... although, I'd imagine pressing the input button would also bring it out of standby. Mines running at the moment so can't check. I'll try it when I come back from lunch.

Ok, ok!!Turning the TT2 on won’t activate the MScaler because you’re MScaler outputs to TT2. Only the inputs will activate MScaler.
..actually ! It has so many inputs that you can connect anything !! The Hugo tt2 has exactly the same. That's an impressive number of inputs
Ok. dAndis67, thanks for your answers. More when I pick up the M Scaler and make the routines. I think they will work without problems. Be well! Can't envisage any problems with the routines you want. The Auralic (not the TT2) can be used as a trigger for music but just hitting the required input button wakes the M Scaler (tried it) and it sits there waiting for a signal from the source. So... the order of activation could be TT2 standby button, Source activation, M Scaler input button and that's it if you're using XLR direct to speakers. Otherwise Amp activation as well. I placed the TT2 first as it goes through its charging cycle... might as well get that going first.
If not every input you have needs to be “mScaler” for your enjoyment, you could also use the TT2 for less critical inputs, bypassing mScaler...actually ! It has so many inputs that you can connect anything !! The Hugo tt2 has exactly the same.
Of course I would like it to have another usb input, but what to do? does not matter!!
..this is exactly what I will do. I'm interested in connecting the NUC to give sound to the dac, but now I can not do it because the usb input is occupied by the Auralic g1. I can not remove it and connect to the NUC.If not every input you have needs to be “mScaler” for your enjoyment, you could also use the TT2 for less critical inputs, bypassing mScaler.

The question is whether the buttons provided by the logitec base are enough to fully operate the M scaler, or not.
Do you have any opinion on this?

Thank you for your answer. Did you need to copy the Chord MScaler controller to the logitech one?I have the Harmony Companion Remote. I also use the Deep-harmony Roon extension that will allow me to even control play back from Roon using Alexa or harmony remote. The Harmony remote controls Roon, HMS, DAVe, lights and a switch powering the battery pack to HMS
I leave the HMS and DAVE always on. HMS is set on to auto detect input and auto video mode. This will work in most cases without you needing to switch inputs using Harmony sequences.
I programmed the Logitech remote color buttons Video mode, input selection, sample rate selection for when I need them. The short answer is yes you will be able to fully control HMS with Logitech remote. Putting the HMS on auto input selection and video mode will make the programming simpler.
I have a similar use case as yours with multiple inputs and HMS is not only great for sound it is a nice input switching box too.
