Yes it is tweak but suggestions came from Rob, he was open in point the issue.

If he had not done that, i would have missed something better.
I am saying the entire MScaler box is a tweak. :face_palm:

Maybe a tweak, but is sound good one to my ears.
Here is a tweak for you and it's a fraction of $1.6k - go buy a block of raw quartz (or whatever rock) and put on your system. I guarantee you will hear a difference...

Would you need to disconnect XLR cables to active speakers?
Using an amp with the dac makes it less easy to have no groundloop unless either the amp or DAC is not grounded (eg. on battery)

Use both optical in and out on Mscaler without the other connections used on it for best isolation.

Ah, the unending ASR bitterness of people who don't hear well enough to appreciate good equipment.

why don't you try the quartz rock first - it's a cheap tweak. You can put the rest of $5500 you saved from buying Mscaler toward a better dac.

It's sad seeing people spend $6k (Mscaler) and $15k (linear PSU) only to get Dave to sound competitive with other high-end dacs, if at all. Instead, they could just get a better dac in the first place with way better result. $21k+ of only tweaks....so sad. :sob:

Has anyone here (on a lark) run an Mscaler into a Mojo2 via the third-party mini coaxial to dual BNC adapter? And if so, how did it sound?

No, but I have run 768k pggb files on mojo and mojo 2 with amazing results. I have run H2 to mscaler and it was better than without.

And which DAC would that be? 😂. Dude I've listened to dCS, MSB, and all the otter high end DACs, to me DAVE without any tweaks sounds better than all that other stuff, and their cheapest I've listened to was 23k 😂.

Playback Designs MPD8 - only $22k, the cost of tweaks for Dave.

It seems as if you are on a mission to save people from the Dave.
