Rob Watts has stated that with the M Scaler he notices no difference when using different USB cables so I would just use any one.

Well suppose somewhere where the diminishing returns of the cable don’t justify the additional cost.
Without demoing the cables it’s a total crap shoot.
But between you and me, sensible is the amount I could justify to the treasurer of the household finances.

The parameters you specify are different for everyone, which makes offering suggestions futile. Perhaps assume whatever stock cable you have on hand will be sufficient as has already been suggested.

True, sorry, I see a supra cable for £40, I like the brand, I’m sure that’s a good shoot.
But I’m led to believe it doesn’t come with a stock usb cable.

Supra is what I use. They conform to the usb audio standard (90Ohm impedance, etc). Good cable for a good price.

Since people are mentioning bits of magazine news about the M-Scaler. Hi-Fi Choice have a news type article on M-Scaler, on page 6 of the current October issue, issue No 441.

It mentions just the facts about up-sampling etc, and galvanically isolated dual BNC.

Not sure what will be the case for countries other than the UK but a 2m long type ‘A’ to type ‘B’ USB cable was included with my M Scaler.

Agree with that. I listen to a lot of ‘50s and ‘60s jazz. A good deal of it has almost unbelievable quality!

Jazz is my thang,too.Mostly Bop,Hardbop and Cool.Your suggestions?
