HQPlayer Impressions and Settings Rolling Thread

When I go to Matrix Pipeline in HQPlayer Desktop, I see my txt files listed for the EQ. I called this "ADX3000". When I go to the HQPlayer Client, and I go to settings, the Matrix Profile shows "Default". When I click that dropdown box, I see "ADX3000" listed. When I select this, I hear an audible change in volume (volume increases). When I close HQPlayer Client and reopen it, the Matrix Profile returns to "Default". It looks like my profile is not being applied when I use the client. What do you think is happening here?

haulo

if apply correct both default loaded and save selection you create should be same
if sound different and louder which is not possible with -5db then it did not apply correct
u must click load even after save to load as default before click ok

Just started using HQPlayer and the difference is impressive — cleaner highs and more natural vocals. Still experimenting with filters, but so far really liking poly-sinc-gauss-long. Any tips for DSD upsampling settings?
Filter choices are usually genre specific, and of course a personal preference. The default filters are great choice for all rounder.

What gets interesting are the SDM modulators. It pretty much ranges from UL, light, fast, super in terms of sharpness and edginess in transient. With UL almost sounding as sharp as some ESS dac chip, then Light and Fast in between to Super being the most smooth and refine, coherent, warmer sounding.

I mostly use the default filters, poly sinc short lp-2s or poly sinc xtr short lp for pop/rock/punk/metal... with 7EC Fast
Poly Sinc HB-2S, Sinc Long H, Gauss XLA for jazz/classical... with 7EC Super
