Have you tried Internet Radio? I've tried adding a couple of stations, but when trying to play I get an error that it can't send to the renderer. I've sent a log to Marcin...just wondering if you've tried it.

Having finally sorted my ASIO driver issues, I'm able to run PCM->DSD 256 on my older i5 gaming laptop using ASDM7EC modulators and poly-sin-ext2 for Redbook content, although Hi-Res gets a bit dicey and requires dropping to DSD 128. I was putting this into a Geshelli J2S (AKM 4499EX / Sparkos SS2590s) I use in my desktop headphone rig (xDuoo TA-26 - HD 6XX) and playing with different modulator/filter combos to get a feel for the differences. Clearly, this demands either a very good memory or lengthy note taking.

In the search for more specifics on the various modulators and filters, I happened across two nice writeups on HQP modulators and filters by a German builder of "audio PCs" that I felt worth sharing:

Modulators

Filters

I also found this older (2021) blog making a comparison between that version of HQP vs. M-Scaler using PCM with some notes on the various combinations used (the comments are interesting as well)...

Has anyone else noticed HQ Player inverting left and right channels when converting PCM to DSD?

I noticed this last night, during the first session I've had using HQP with SDM output. I know a track with a specific sound in the right channel that has clearly swapped to the left when output is switched from PCM to SDM. When I first heard this, it had me checking my cables. I listened to that track from my local library via Foobar, streamed via the Qobuz app, and played both locally via HPQ and streamed HQP Client. Everything is fine until I switch to SDM output and the channels are swapped. Feel free to check this for yourself and let me know if you get the same thing.

Noted issue by Jussi. Go to the support thread on Audiophile Style for more information. Is being addressed or has been already in an update.

That has never happened to me that HQ Player would invert left and right channels. I have gone back and forth between PCM and SDM with HQ Player numerous times in a session when searching for the best sound on several different DACs.

Yeah I’ve been having issues too, usually listen with DSD, but lately when I switch to PCM the songs are playing in reverse and there’s a frightening voice uttering messages I don’t even want my cats to hear. I hope Jussi can get a patch out asap for this. 🤣

It's interesting that my HQ Player Desktop latest version has never done this L-R channel swapping. I was going back and forth from PCM to SDM (again and constantly) listening for the best filter that I have the processing power to play for PCM>SDM 512 just two days ago.
