How much do IEMs isolate? (compared to sticking your fingers into your ears?)

aryo: I use the same volume in silence and on transit, next to a busy street, etc. I never turn it up.

Also, have never been run over / nearly run over by anything. I attribute this to my cunning use of the technique known as 'vision'.

You open a pair of muscles commonly known as the "eyelids", and allow your pupil to dilate, so that light can reach the rods and cones in the back of your eye, where they are translated to electric signals, and your brain processes that to give you "vision".
