how many of you guys cook???

I always mess up somehow if I stray from the instructions, but I cook well if I don't! :D
Real cooks don't use instructions! They just read recipes and learn how to cook with what they've got or for who they're with. Amazing dishes like caesar salad have been ad-libbed, and god knows how many cocktails and deserts.

You'll know you're there when you cook something tasty from shoes and an old bicycle, because that's all you had to hand.

I've started my onion soup base for a bowl of Phở later this afternoon.

The Phở was abandoned until a future date.
I got hungry and decided to make a vegetarian snack of stewed daikon and shiitake mushrooms.
It looks very plain but the stewing liquid gave it a nice subtle earthy sweetness.
I drank the broth on the side.

Unusually delicious. I've never

Yummy as they look, I hope you didn't eat all of those delectable sammiches and dishes in one sitting!

First time that I am happy with my "latte art"!
Hope coffee qualifies as "cooking"!

I'd say it does. It might not be food, per se, but it still takes some skill to do some of the more fiddly variations well.

Not much of a cook and most of the time it's just plain chicken breast, green veggies and brown rice (gym rat), but I do like to make a big batch of vegetable soup now and then, especially now that the streets are covered in snow and it's freezing outside.

Is that kale and potatoes or taro root? The broth looks purple. That looks very satisfying.

The purple colour is from the red kale. There's some potatoes, parsnip and carrots in there as well as some "raw" rosemary twigs. Tastes great - especially with a slice of good bread on the side.
