I only have three, but will be adding a fourth as soon as AT releases their new 1000 series stuff!!

I don't think they come one before the other, it's more of a simmultaneous thing. I think Jude sends an email reminding people to buy another set of cans when they reach certain levels!!

IOW, the more people read and post the more they buy. So that, once you hit around 1000 posts you will own at least 10 headphones!!! Anything more is truly a sickness or just due to excessive funds......

Joelongwood, What difference do you hear between the grado sr-200 and the sr-325? In fact, what are the sr-100/200s basic sound characteristics?

sacd lover, the SR-100 and SR-200 sound very similar in their sonic presentation.......both being very smooth and balanced, with no emphasis on any part of the frequency spectrum. They share their basic characteristics with their larger siblings, the HP-1000 series.
The newer Grados, such as the SR-325, provide more punch and are tilted toward the upper mids, with more high-end energy. To my ears, the first generation Grados are more neutral than their newer siblings.

It's sickness--by the time you buy all those phones, you no longer have excess funds. . . .

I hear ya FCJ!! If it's not the headphones that will kill your wallter, it's all the accompanying Ics, amps, power cables, etc. IS there ever an end to this madness/sickness??

One symptom of sickness is usually agressiveness....

Maybe we should reply to a post with something like: this is my opinion, I have (x) number of headphones, (x) number of Ic's, (x) number of power cables, (x) number of headamps, (x) number of cd players, (x) number of dacs, etc.

That way we could take anything they say with a grain of salt.

I prefer to subscribe to the "Lord of the Headphones" ideology:

"One headphone to rule them all...one headphone to bind them all..."
