How Long Have You Been With Your Player?

RioVolt CD (don't laugh!)
3 years and 11 months

Still works flawlessly and was a birthday gift from my father who died of cancer about two months after giving it to me. So, I do have a bit of a sentimental attachment to it. I use it every day though....

ah, the riovolt. if it wasnt for the riovolt, i wouldn't be on this website today. I got a best buy gift certificate a few years ago, and used it to buy the riovolt. I ended up returning it because it didn't fit my needs and getting the 5gig archos jukebox. A full size harddrive in that baby. That's how my pursuit for the perfect mp3 player began....

and so for me,
archos jukebox - 4ish yrs?
iriver ifp-390t - 2 yrs
rio karma - negative 4 days (it's in the mail)

I've been in a monogamous relationship with my Neuros for nearly a year now. I'm thinking of cheating on it with a PSP once they come out, though, and if I had enough money, I'd be the sugar daddy for an iaudio M3. I previously had a Samsung Yepp flash player, upgraded to a massive 96MB, which used the parallel port for transfers. That was painful. It broke after the third time I dropped it onto concrete, which I haven't managed to do to my Neuros yet. (Just the floor of the bus).

Been with my MuVo Slim for 4 months. Within those 4 months I've had 4 different headphones to go with 'em. Beforehand I never cared so much about portable audio (use to use a ghetto old Panasonic MP3 cd player w/ MDR-V150s *hangs head down in shame)

Oh yes, I do know about those V150's....

Hate to say this, but I had some cheap CD Player from Wal-Mart... I put up with that for 7-8 months
Then I bought a Philips AX-125 CD player (which I loved), and I've had that for 3 yrs and counting
I've had a Zen Xtra for a little over a month

I used to have a RioVolt SP90 which sucked compared to my new fav since March '03: The iRiver SlimX-350. Excellent source component-plays almost anything. The batteries need replaced and the warranty needs extended if possible, but it's the most solid player I've ever owned. And the top is brushed aluminum, nice!
