I made the dumb mistake of not unplugging one of the left satellite on my Z625 while trying to move my subwoofer to another position, breaking the metal cover of that speaker's plug. If I just put the cover back in and plug it back in the subwoofer it works, but if I try to unplug the satellite, the metal cover gets stuck inside the socket of the subwoofer. It is a real pain to get it out, and it renders the satellite useless if I try to just plug it back in, as the plug doesn't get proper contact with the socket.
So how can i fix this plug so that the cover doesn't come out again? hot glueing it?

Apply 2-3 drops of super glue to the white barrel. Slide the metal protective sleeve over the barrel giving it a 1/2 turn twist as you slide it on. This spreads the glue around the barrel. Seat the metal sleeve fully down onto the barrel. Wait 24 hours for it to cure. Done.

Or just replace the cable.
