How did you find Head-Fi?

I got here by googling/researching Sennheiser PX100 to use with my new iPod.

I registered just so I could use the search function. That's why my user name is not creative and mildly lame.

Let's see, I was looking for info on the first pair of 'real' headphones I had purchased, the Sennheiser HD477's now listed in my sig for sale. I think I saw Headwize maybe once before stumbling over HeadFi, but it's a good thing I did, otherwise I might be wearing Bose Triports right now

! I joined basically right after being fired from Fred Meyer's and it was about 4 months after getting out of high school. Times SUCKED. Unfortunately for me, they still do(BTW, that's why I like HeadFi, it's like a local club where I'm not crapped on or the vibe isn't so depressing).

I found HeadWize using gOOgle, then found Head-Fi through there.
At first I was overwhelmed by the size of Head-Fi as well as the number and rate of postings, so stuck to HeadWize for a while.
But in time my 'appetite' for info outgrew HeadWize so I settled in here.

I also noticed this site was under it's quota for "Equal Headphone Opportunity For Women" and that my presence was desperately needed.

You must admit, the place looks much nicer with the new curtains I put up!

I got stuck here after a Google search for Singlepower amps. I remember I got surprised by how quickly I got a high quality hit.

Head-Fi was suggested to me by some OCAU members.

ahh... i used to be at minidisc.org as well, although i was more of a lurker there than anything else. i migrated there from minidiscussion.org right after all the trouble with immature thread crapping from unregistered users which caused the forum to close down.

Heh, I think I might have played a hand in that!

Zemo turned me on to Head-Fi, and then myself and a few other members of Sharkys spread the disease. 1.5 years later, my wallet has never been the same.

I ended up finding this site after getting my iPod. I have been into audio since I was a kid, though. I thought the stock iPod buds sounded like crap and I started searching for headphone reviews and I came across this site.

Did a search on an ASL speaker amp I was interested in buying and stumbled upon Nick Dangerous' "Tube Rolling The MG-Head" which let me to here. After reading Nick's article I was intrigued enough to by a MG-Head and some HD580's. Turned out to be a great move because I realized then and there I was more a headphone guy as opposed to a loudspeaker guy and I havn't looked back since.
