My shells are haunted!🤔🤯
Did it happen at any of you guys that you do a good crossover, with a good set of drivers and it sounds good when you try it outside your shell and as soon as you put it in a shell, boom, the freq response changes shape even if you isolate complitely the tubes pouring some acrylic to fill the nozzle. It happens only in the higher frequencies(the tube is not kinking)
I'm desperate🥲
Could be your tubes are bended too much. So much that they are closed. And the sound is not coming through any more. Very likely.

Mind showing us your iems? We may help you better when we see your build.
They're composed of
38d1x 2nd order low pass dual yellow dmp 22mm 1.5 ID tubing

Rab 32257 2nd order highpass orange dmp 22mm 1.5 ID tubing

Dual LE swfk 1st order highpass 470nF
40mm 2.5 ID tubing

There's no problem with overheating the drivers
Tubes are not bending.

These are the adapters and the mic i use for measuring.

Shells are half nozzle full with the same thickness of the tubes holes as the adapters shown in the pic.
When i measure outside the shell i use bluetack to make sure that there's no audio leak from the holes.

The red trace is the freq response inside the shell, the blue one is outside the shell

I'ts a pitty cause i really liked the sound of the Blue one...it's Harman based but with a couple of db less HF

Thanks in advance guys!

You get a higher response when you install them in the shell?

I get a higher peak at 6khz and a drop from 7-12khz when i install them in the shell
Have you made the other side as well or you still haven't?

I have never experienced getting a bump in frequency when installed in shell. If I made an error, it would be the other way around.

Honestly, one thing I can think of is a kinked tube or you might rewired it in a different way when you installed it inside the shell.

It's been 5+ years that i'm into DIY CIEM and it never happened to me while i was building my shells the "Old" way.
No, tubes are not kinking and the xover and drivers are on phase.
Since i got into 3D printing weird things are happening...if i happen to find out, i'll let ypu guys know, maybe someone will have the same issue in the future.
Thanks anyway guys for stepping in.
Kudos!

My newest build of my hybrid IEM. It consists of 10mm DDx1 / 37ap015x1 / E50DTx2 / 31736x1 Total 1DD with 8 BAs driver. 4 tubes with 4 ways crossover. FR looks ideal.

I use this as my target FR and I will tune for the rest of the other 3 kinds of FR

This tools help a lot for tunning and is a must to have. Not just shorten the time but also easy to get the ideal FR. US dollars 5 can made 2 DIY tunning board, best to invest.

Those are litz wires or estron wire. You can get them from audiology supply houses or through ali. Just look for the spools, usually sold 3 colors at a time. Its also witin Kowles specifications to use AWG 30 gauge silver wire. Which is bulky for builds sometimes. But, they make great leads and awesome for bread boarding.

You're right. That's estron wire.

Hi there, I did my CIEMs with Sonion BA and regarding to your suggestions it sound really good. I wanted to ask you to take a look with your experienced eye and if there is anything to improve to push it a little bit further to get the best results? Is there anything I can do to add a little 1K and lose the 6k peak? That’s my setup and the graph:

Move yellow damper closer to BA spout and move white damper further from BA spout. You can try that.
