Hysteria or not, I’m happy with mine. I was afraid that I might regret of selling my HMS-DAVE after impressions of a “new toy mode” calm down, but that didn’t happened. I only like May more and more.

By the way, if anybody is thinking about new CD-spinner for his May - try latest PS Audio transport. It sounds outstanding via I2S.

The only downside is a price and limited availability in Europe.

The new PS Audio transport looks interesting, it looks like resurgence of the cd transport ,,…I had a outstanding transport to try from Austria , a Project RS2 with upgraded power supply. playback was absolutely spectacular and with select CDs , it rivalled anything I’ve listened to so far however it would be difficult adjusting to the switch away from the ultra convenience of managing ones music library.

Does anyone know why Holo May is shipped with a firmware that only supports pcm 768 Mhz and DSD 512 when it is marketed with support for pcm 1536 MHZ and DSD 1024?

I had a outstanding transport to try from Austria , a Project RS2

Unfortunately not , chatting with the owner he tells me the I2s pin out of the this transport was chosen only for the Project product line however never the less SDIF coax connection performs on a very high level .

Well mine got delivered not too long ago and I could stream 1536 out of the box on usb via hqplayer

Now the only thing I want is a good Roon endpoint with i2s out and support for DXD and DSD256.

Unfortunately Pink Faun is limited to 192kHz, PCM-only and requires to build a computer to use it
