Is there any?
HD800 is lightweight (260g) but have somewhat harsh highs.
LCD2-3 is heavy (560g), these truly made for an athletes.
D7000 is heavy (~400g) and not huge improvement from my D2000.

You better take a listen to some high end cans.
I'd suggest the D 7000, T1 and HD 800.
Btw, the HD 800 weighs 330g.

250g is pretty standard for "light" full sizes.

Based on what you want, I don't think you're going to find anything truly "light" in the High-end category.

But based on the sound you're looking for: Hifiman HE-500.

It's 502g.

Very best,

If you rate the d7000 heavy then the he-500 would "feel" heavy also IMO. It was too heavy for me. I'd vote for the Beyer T1

Training your neck muscles  But to the OP, I havent heard it yet but assuming it sounds good, the HD700 should be a great choice since it's about 15% lighter than the already manageable HD800.

I see you have both LCD2 and LCD3, I read lot of posting but do you find LCD3 lot better than LCD2 ?

The only light can in comparison would probably be a Grado, but those are definitely not going to compete with any of those no matter how much money you spend.

The LCD-2 is really dang heavy though, so for those thinking he's being ridiculous by listing weights, it's the reason I got rid of mine despite being in love with how they sounded.

Sure. Sennheiser HD600.

Great headphones. Shame that they dont cost $1200.
HD650 would also be a nice choice.

I would not describe either the HD800 or T1 as having *harsh* highs. Maybe bright (I disagree with even that), but saying the highs are harsh is somewhat harsh.

I liked Grados especially PS1000, it was very very light felt like a sponge. But the pads are very irritating kind of rough, and Grados trebles are something I don't like at all. :frowning2:
