Are these Hifiman earpads new genuine leather earpads or are you just referring to the pleather earpads?

The earpads are either velour or leather.
 
Everyone the event is tomorrow.  We have have a sale for limited items that we have in stock at 10% off, including any pre-orders (such as the much-in-demand HM-901).  The sale is one-day only during the event!  So if you are in NYC, come by AC Gears on 8th Street (you need to RSVP to rsvp@acgears.com) or visit the link on our facebook page, speak to the man behind the brand (Dr. Fang Bian), test out the HiFiMAN gear (the HE-400 really is a different kind of headphones, open-air but very full and rich in detail), get a great discount, network with other headphone enthusiasts, check out other great gadgets and electronics we have, have some cold beers, and the list goes on!  See you all tomorrow!

Weather kept me from going into NYC.  :frowning2:  Very upset.
 
How packed was it?  Could any decent listening be done with all the noise?  Hope to see some pix.

Thanks everyone for coming!  We hope you enjoyed the beer, the company of follow headphone enthusiasts, the HiFiMAN lineup, and meeting Dr. Fang in person!  The event was not super packed so we think everyone got decent time to really try out the headphones.  Most of them are going to be in-store permanently including the EF2 and EF5 amp so you can definitely bring your own source and try things out, if you missed this one.  We sort of forgot to take pictures - only have a few in our facebook: https://www.facebook.com/acgears if others took pictures please share with us!  See you at the next event!
