Hello Head-Fiers,

First of all, we are really happy to officially join the Head-Fi community as a sponsor.  We are proud to have HiFiMAN into our NYC store and have created an event where Head-Fiers and those who are interested to test out/buy HiFiMAN products can come together, meet the founder behind the brand, demo products, and learn more about HiFiMAN's philosophy.  Below is the event information:

Join us with HiFiMAN and HiFiMAN's CEO Dr. Fang Bian for a retail launch and mini headphone meet! We'll be showcasing the entire HiFiMAN line while debuting select models to be sold in-store.
Take part in a meet and greet with CEO, Dr. Fang Bian.

More details to come soon!

I will be coming. New to the portable high end and looking forward to comparing the HE-400 and 500 models especially.
Is this an official RSVP or do I need to sign up somewhere.

Thanks,
Russ Rubman

Yes! Will definitely be in attendance.

Ironically, I lost my 601 Slim along with my RE-ZEROs just yesterday. Perhaps I'll restock.

Hello everyone,

We are now taking requests of HiFiMAN products that you want to try in particular as well as making reservation to purchase at the event.  So if we know a particular quantity on certain model we can make sure that we have enough for everyone that day (a couple of HM-901?) to take home.

HiFiMAN has mentioned that they could potentially bring the HE-6 but will need a very powerful amp in order to do its justice.  Any taker and requests?  We want to make sure everyone gets a chance to see these products up close and personal!

Please post to this thread if you have any particular thoughts!

HI Sashua,

We are working on getting some discount for purchases of HiFiMAN products for that day.  We will update to this thread when we have more information!

x2 on having demos of the HE-400 and RE-600. I'll like to hear what all this RE-400 fuss is about too.

Discounts would definitely tempt my wallet.

+1 for some sort of discount. If the price is good and I like what I hear I'll walk away with the HE-400 :)

I'd be interested in RE-600 if there is a chance of discount happening.

I thought this was a typo, I just learned of the RE-400 a few weeks ago. Fang mustn't sleep very much.
How is it that I lose my dedicated DAP right when the opportunity to demo the HE 400-600 comes around?

If anyone coming has an AK100/RWAK100 and would let me demo it with some of these cans for a few minutes, I'd really appreciate it. Considering both for my next DAP.
